Gas Systems Corporation-McKinney, TX was awarded a contract to supply Global Santa Fe Drilling Houston, TX a skid mounted nitrogen generator with a high-pressure gas cylinder filling station.Gas Systems designed the skidded nitrogen system to operate on an offshore drilling platform near Equatorial Guinea. The system consists of a nitrogen membrane generator, a high-pressure nitrogen booster compressor and a nitrogen cylinder filling station. The compressed air and electrical power to operate the system is provided by the rig's available utilities. Global Santa Fe Drilling agrees the nitrogen cylinder filling system is a convenient and cost savings initiative, especially; when you take into account the logistics for supplying high-pressure gas cylinders to remote areas of the world.
